We have to start here. The excitement you all have shown for House of Color has genuinely moved us. You told us what you were craving: more representation, greater access, and meaningful experiences. HOC is our answer to that call. Watching this community show up before we've even officially opened our doors? We don't take that lightly.
Here's Where We Are
Like many new businesses in the needlepoint space right now, we're navigating the realities of a craft that is booming and with that boom comes some real supply chain considerations. But, we have a plan.
Here's the honest breakdown of what's happening on the inventory front.
Small batch of hand painted canvases available now
When we launch, we'll have a curated selection of hand painted canvases ready to ship. These are the real thing, painted by our small US based team. Don't sleep on them! Once they're gone, they won't be restocked until our next production run.
Presale options coming once that first stock sells through
After our initial inventory sells, we'll be moving into a presale model for many designs. We know "presale" can feel like a gamble, but we're committed to being fully transparent about timelines. Every presale listing will include an estimated fulfillment window so you know exactly what you're signing up for.
Hand painted vs. printed: you'll see both on the site
As you shop, you may notice that some canvases give you a choice: hand painted or printed. The hand painted versions are done by our US based team and have their own clearly labeled production timelines. Printed canvases will follow a different schedule. We're thrilled to be able to give our community options at different price points, and we think you'll love both.
Our First Large Production Order Scheduled to Arrives in August
We've heard back from our production team and our first major order is expected in August 2026. That's a big milestone for us! It means increased and more consistent availability. We are so ready!
Why We're Being So Open About All of This
Because you deserve it. The needlepoint world is in the middle of a genuine renaissance, and we feel so lucky to be developing HOC in the middle of this wave. Trust is everything, especially with a new brand. We'd rather be upfront, rather than overpromise and under-deliver.
We're here for the long game, and we hope you are too.
